Title: Spinning Fishing
Post by: Dawid Stefański on 25/12/2017 at 14:19
Hello. Please help me in my hobby. I am an angler since I was a child. I came to Fraserburgh 3 months ago. I want to fish but I do not know where I can now. I do not like the sea. I love rivers and lakes. Trouts, perch, pike. Do not fly. Only spinning, spinners. Where can I go now to catch something, I have a car so no problem. Thank you, if you want to help.

Dawid
Kingennie  just outside Dundee has an any method pond where you can spin or bait fish for trout.
Can't think of anywhere close to Fraserburgh though. Mostly fly fishing round here.

For a quick trip it's too far.

All rivers in the area are only available for flyfishing? An example of a river in Strichen?

That's the river Ugie, you can spin in high water , but it's £250 for a season ticket or £30 a day.

You can't fish it at the moment Dawid, closed until the next season opens in 2018 have a look here http://www.riverugie.co.uk/

Rob is one our resident maggot drowners and cutlery chuckers and is probably best placed to give you some pointers  :z18

Over to you Rob  :z16
