Post by: The Aul Troot on 05/03/2017 at 12:57
The past week has seen reasonably settled conditions with occasional rain and periods of wind up until Saturday when the heavens opened and fishing stopped. The water came in coloured after the deluge but this is clearing quickly and showing improved conditions today (Sunday). During the past week the fish were feeding actively although at different levels but the anglers who mastered these conditions obtained good catches, the best amongst them being; K Fraser, Greeness, 30 fish, (orange blob, black lure), C Watson, New Deer, 16 fish, (gold/green nymph, white lure), I Watt, Turriff, 14 fish, (buzzers), B Gibb, King Edward, 9 fish, (buzzers), N Thomson, Turriff, 6 fish, (bloodworm, buzzers), A Murray, Gardenstown, 6 fish, (black fritz).

The forecast for the coming week remains unsettled but with temperatures staying above zero. Delgatie Castle Trout Fishery is open seven days from 8am and visitors and novices are always welcome. Booking is not necessary and boats (where required) rods and tackle is available for hire at the fishery. For up to date information and conditions please contact the fishery on it's new number of 07375 983 658. :z15
