Title: Delgatie Castle Trout Fishery report w/e 25/2/17
Post by: The Aul Troot on 26/02/2017 at 14:47
The past week has been less than enjoyable for angling with high winds and outbreaks of rain although some anglers braved the conditions and in some cases enjoyed periods of relative calm. Fishing conditions were generally difficult and the fish feeding habits were unpredictable. Despite these setbacks some anglers landed reasonable catches, the best amongst these being; A Murray, Gardenstown, 25 fish, (black fritz), J McKay, Macduff, 12 fish, (white fritz), S Buchan, Turriff, 9 fish, (olive lure), W Campbell, Aberdeen, 6 fish, (olive nymph), K Maddocks, Aberdeen, 6 fish, (pink bunny leech).

The forecast for the coming week suggests that conditions will remain unsettled with temperatures lowering as the week progresses.

Delgatie Castle Trout Fishery is open seven days from 8am til 5pm and booking is not necessary. Boats (where required) rods and tackle is available for hire at the fishery and visitors and novices are always welcome. For up to date information and conditions phone Bob on 07980 999 006. :z15
