Title: Looking for some local knowledge.
Post by: Mick Reid on 15/02/2017 at 21:55
Hi folks
First post and delighted to join your forum.
Its been a while since I fished the Don ,,probably 10 years or more,,,but im organising a trip up in April. There will be about 4 or 5 of us fishing dry and nymph. What I would like to know is,,,,,is Alford a decent stretch for the dry and nymph ?
We will also be looking for accomodation for one evening, Is there anywhere you can recommend to us ?
Thank you in advance.

Hi Mick ....... welcome to the forum :z16

I haven't fished Alford for many years I'm afraid. Kildrummy might be a good option for you? The Kildrummy Inn is a great base and can offer you the fishing permits too. See http://www.kildrummyinn.co.uk/ (http://www.kildrummyinn.co.uk/)

Best wishes
Mike
