Title: Delgatie Castle Trout Fishery report w/e 21/1/17
Post by: The Aul Troot on 22/01/2017 at 23:15
The past week has seen very settled weather conditions with an almost complete absence of wind. Overnight temperatures have been low with daytime temperatures affected by sun with lows and highs as days progressed. The resulting fishing conditions varied hour by hour with the fish feeding at different levels, or at times, not feeding at all.
Despite these variables some reasonable catches were secured, amongst these the best were; K Fraser, Greeness, 22 fish, (bloodworm, pink minkie), P Cowie, Fraserburgh, 12 fish, (bloodworm, buzzers), G Davidson, Macduff, 6 fish, (white lure), A Ross, Fraserburgh, 5 fish, (black lure), G Ellington, Ellon, 4 fish, (white buzzer), L Davidson, Macduff, 4 fish, (WSW).
The settled conditions are forecast to continue for the coming week and hopefully the fish will continue to feed.
Delgatie Castle Trout Fishery is open seven days from 8am and booking is not necessary. Boats (where required) rods and tackle is available for hire at the fishery. For up to date information and conditions phone Bob on 07980 999 006. :z15
