Title: First Grayling Trip of the year to the Isla
Post by: Rob Brownfield on 06/12/2016 at 13:03
And I caught a rather strange Brown Trout of about a pound and a half. Superb condition, full fins, except, it only had tiny stumps for its Pectoral fins. All the other fins were complete and full.

No Grayling at all although I dropped a few fish, possibly the hook shape? Not sure.

Watched Salmon spawning which was pretty awesome as they were less than 10 feet away.

Nice one Rob.  :z16

Believe it or not I had a brownie on a dry fly a couple of weeks back on the clyde. It too was in excellent condition.

I'm going to have to get myself down to the Isla soon. I've heard good things about it.

It can produce some very big fish, but they are hard to track down.

Always amazed at the amount of salmon I see this time of year. I may well go down with the double hander next season.
