Title: River Annan Grayling survey
Post by: Munro Reid on 20/11/2016 at 20:18
I managed to escape today and headed out fishing, The Annan fishery board run two or three organised grayling surveys every year where all anglers meet up for breakfast then hit the river and report back their catches.
Weather conditions usually scupers some of the days but it is a very well attended event.

60 anglers were expected and the last i heard 56 turned up and were allocated beats.

I only managed the one 53cm grayling and sea trout kelt about 2lbs.
Fishing was hard going and very cold but a lovely day to be on the river.
