Title: Delgatie Castle Trout Fishery report w/e 29/10/16
Post by: The Aul Troot on 30/10/2016 at 14:56
The past week has seen very settled weather conditions with a strong autumnal feel. Rainfall has also been negligible during this period and overnight temperatures, whilst lower, have been above normal. The conditions have favoured the continuation of supplies of natural feed for the fish stock. Some anglers found fishing difficult whilst others enjoyed good catches due to finding the correct presentation and fishing it accordingly. The best recorded catches this week fell to; P Cowie, Fraserburgh, 28 fish, (black buzzer, orange blob), P Keir, Fyvie, 27 fish, (humongous, olive WSW), A Gibson, Gardenstown, 21 fish, (olive WSW), J West, Fraserburgh, 14 fish, (olive WSW), A Murray, Gardenstown, 12 fish, (white fritz, black fritz), J Dewar, Fraserburgh, 8 fish, (black lure), D Paterson, Ellon, 7 fish, (olive WSW), G Ellington, Ellon, 6 fish, (yellow buzzer).

Delgatie Castle Trout Fishery is open seven days from 8am and booking is not necessary. Visitors are always welcome and boats (where required) rods and tackle is available for hire at the fishery. With this week's forecast suggesting settled conditions with lower temperatures, good fishing conditions should prevail. For up to date information phone Bob on 07980 999 006. :z15
