Title: Delgatie Castle Trout Fishery report 22/10/16
Post by: The Aul Troot on 23/10/2016 at 14:38
This past week has seen temperatures dropping to more seasonal levels but with the absence of wind and rain conditions have been more favourable for the anglers. It has been notable how the fish have retreated to lower levels where lures have been the more productive presentation. The fish are still responding to quickly retrieved lures on intermediate lines or to a slower retrieve on a floating line. The best catches this week fell to; P Keir, Fyvie, 23 fish, (minkie), J West, Fraserburgh, 22 fish, (grey WSW), A Murray, Gardenstown, 20 fish, (white fritz, budgie), P Cowie, Fraserburgh, 14 fish, (black buzzer), J Dewar, Fraserburgh, 12 fish, (okay dokey, black buzzer), L Davidson, Macduff, 5 fish, (white nomad), J Addison, Cullen, 5 fish, (cat's whisker).

The weather for the coming week suggests a continuation of the settled conditions with temperatures continuing to fall. Delgatie Castle Trout Fishery is open seven days from 8am and visitors are always welcome. Booking is not necessary and boats (where required) rods and tackle is available for hire at the fishery.
