Title: Delgatie Castle Trout Fishery report w/e 15/10/16
Post by: The Aul Troot on 16/10/2016 at 13:26
The weather for the past week has been reasonably settled until the weekend when rainfall increased dramatically. Temperatures for the first half of the week remained low, especially overnight, but despite this the water temperature is relatively high. The forecast for the coming week suggests settled conditions with lower temperatures.

Fishing has been relatively active with most catches being recorded in the upper reaches of the water column with buzzers, diawl bach and wet fly variations being particularly successful. The best catches this week fell to; K West, Fraserburgh, 12 fish, (various nymphs and lures), A Gibson, Gardenstown, 9 fish, (diawl bach, nomad), K Fraser, Greeness, 8 fish, (white fritz), K Wright, Aberdeen, 8 fish, (bloodworm, buzzers), L Davidson, Macduff, 6 fish, (diawl bach, nomad), A Cresswell, Macduff, 5 fish, (buzzers), J Walker, Banff, 5 fish, (cat's whiskers), A Murray, Gardenstown, 5 fish, (budgie).

Delgatie Castle Trout Fishery is open seven days from 8am and booking is not necessary. Boats (if required) rods and tackle is available for hire at the fishery. For up to date information and conditions phone Bob on 07980 999 006. :z15
