Title: Delgatie Castle Trout Fishery report w/e 8/10/16
Post by: The Aul Troot on 09/10/2016 at 16:07
The past week has seen very settled weather conditions with only wind on Tuesday/Wednesday upsetting ideal fishing conditions. The night time temperatures have continued to be low with overnight frosts contributing to much lower water temperatures. The fish have responded to these settled conditions and have been more active this week than the past two months and several anglers have enjoyed good catches using lures, wet flies and buzzers. The best recorded catches fell to; P Keir, Fyvie, 24 fish, (WSW, wet flies), K Fraser, Greeness, 10 fish, (black fritz, buzzers), A Campbell, Inverurie, 10 fish, (white fritz), K Wright, Aberdeen, 9 fish, (bloodworm, buzzers), A Murray, Gardenstown, 9 fish, (budgie, damsel nymph), B Burnett, Turriff, 8 fish, (dry fly, CDC emerger), I Burnett, Fraserburgh, 8 fish, (white fritz), S Simpson, Inverurie, 7 fish, (cat's whisker), N Thomson, Turriff, 5 fish, (buzzer), M Ferguson, Turriff, 5 fish, (damsel, buzzers).
