Title: Delgatie Castle Trout Fishery report w/e 1/10/16
Post by: The Aul Troot on 02/10/2016 at 15:52
This week saw the continuation of the difficult fishing conditions where sizeable catches have been difficult to come by. However the drop in overnight temperatures leading to a similar drop in water temperatures appear to have encouraged the fish to feed although this has still been very tentative and 'holding on to takes' have been difficult. Buzzers have been most successful with dry fly still attracting attention. Although overhead conditions were far from ideal wit strong winds and intermittent rainfall, some anglers enjoyed success with the best among these being; J Clayton, King Edward, 7 fish, (brown buzzer), A Murray, Gardenstown, 6 fish, (budgie), M Murdoch, Aberdeen, 4 fish, (dry fly). G Ellington, Ellon also successfully netted a nice 8lb fish on a black buzzer.

Delgatie Castle Trout Fishery is open seven days from 8am and visitors are always welcome. Booking is not necessary and boats (where required) rods and tackle is available for hire at the fishery. For up to date information and conditions phone Bob on 07980 999 006. :z15
