Title: Delgatie Castle Trout Fishery report w/e 17/9/16
Post by: The Aul Troot on 18/09/2016 at 18:27
The past week has seen settled weather conditions albeit at times bright sunshine drove the fish down. Generally the abundance of natural feed has left the fish quite lethargic and they are not attacking artificial presentations. The past two nights has seen overnight temperatures drop and this would lead to cooler water conditions with the fish showing more aggression in feeding. Catches during the past week have been much lower but the changing water temperatures should lead to an upturn in activity. The best catches this week fell to; A Murray, Gardenstown, 21 fish, (budgie, black fritz, yellow nomad), P Keir, Fyvie, 19 fish, (damsel nymph, black fritz), B Burnett, Turriff, 8 fish, (dry fly, spider).

Delgatie Castle Trout Fishery is open seven days from 8am and booking is not necessary. Visitors are always welcome and boats (where required) rods and tackle is available for hire at the fishery. For up to date information and conditions phone Bob on 07980 999 006. :z15
