Title: Delgatie Castle Trout Fishery report w/e 27/8/16
Post by: The Aul Troot on 28/08/2016 at 13:36
Despite the settled weather this week the fishing has remained difficult with the fish operating at variable levels throughout the day with catches being recorded on lures as well as the dry fly being productive. However, the best returns were obtained by fishing sub surface using Diawl Bach, Crunchers and Spiders. The best recorded catches were recorded to; A Cowie, Fraserburgh, 34 fish, (cruncher, diawl bach), P Cowie, Fraserburgh, 15 fish, (cruncher, diawl bach), A Murray, Gardenstown, 13 fish, (budgie, white fritz), J Dewar, Fraserburgh, 9 fish (WSW, dry fly), B Burnett, Turriff, 5 fish, (dry flies).

The forecast for the coming week remains settled and with water temperature becoming lower it is hoped that fishing will improve. Delgatie Castle Trout Fishery is open seven days from 8am and booking is not necessary. Visitors are always welcome and boats (where required) rods and tackle is available for hire at the fishery.
