Title: Delgatie Castle Trout Fishery report w/e 6/8/16
Post by: The Aul Troot on 07/08/2016 at 15:40
This week has seen a continuance of the very unseasonable weather whilst although temperatures have remained reasonable, heavy thundery conditions with major downpours has persisted. These changes in weather conditions appear to upset the fish with them withdrawing from the top levels and interrupting their feeding patterns. The water levels are constantly fluctuating but more importantly water colour has caused problems. Fortunately, today, Saturday, has seen some improvement and as long as no major rainfall occurs, the improvement should continue for the next two days. Catches were restricted this week due to conditions but the following anglers were successful. A Cowie, Fraserburgh, 17 fish, (diawl bach), A Murray, Gardenstown, 1 fish, (white fritz, budgie), M Milne, Fraserburgh, 8 fish, (klinkhammer), G Ellington, Ellon, 5 fish, (dry fly, buzzers), G Bain, Fraserburgh, 5 fish, (pink buzzers).

Delgatie Castle Trout Fishery is open seven days from 8am and booking is not necessary. Visitors and novices are welcome and boats (where required) rods and tackle is available for hire at the fishery. For up to date information phone Bob on 07980 999 006. :z15
