Title: Delgatie Castle Trout Fishery report w/e 18/6/16
Post by: The Aul Troot on 19/06/2016 at 14:55
Last week we suggested that some rain would be welcome to freshen the water and encourage insect activity. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday saw constant rain emphasizing the saying "beware what you wish for". However, the rainfall appeared to have the desired effect with today, Saturday, giving good returns in spite of the coloured water conditions. Six members of the Stonehaven Angling club enjoyed a good days sport leading to a total of 30 fish. The best recorded catches this week fell to; A Murray, Gardenstown, 43 fish over several visits, (white nomad, black fritz, orange fritz), M Leith, Stonehaven, 12 fish, (orange buzzer), P Watt, Gardenstown, 9 fish, (dawson's olive), J Nicol, Stonehaven, 6 fish, (orange fritz), G Leslie, Stonehaven, 6 fish, (buzzers), J Rench, Stonehaven, 6 fish, (okay dokey), N Thomson, Turriff, 5 fish, (buzzers), B Cresswell, Macduff, 5 fish, (various lures), M Laing, Aberdeen, 5 fish, (lures, buzzers).

Delgatie Castle Trout Fishery is open seven days from 8am til 9pm and booking is not necessary. Visitors are welcome and boats (where required) rods and tackle is available for hire at the fishery. For up to date conditions and information phone Bob on 07980 999 006. :z15
