Title: Delgatie Castle Trout Fishery report w/e 5/6/16
Post by: The Aul Troot on 05/06/2016 at 16:29
The weather has continued to dominate with the first four days of the week plagued by a persistent North/North easterly wind and accompanying low air temperatures. The fish have been reluctant to respond to anything other than lures where black or combinations including black were the most successful. Buzzers, nymphs and dry flies have been relegated this week but hopefully with temperatures predicted to rise, they will return to favour. For those interested in our swans, we are please to announce the arrival of four healthy cygnets. Mother and family are all fine.

The best recorded catches this week fell to; A Murray, Gardenstown, 39 fish over several visits, (white nomad, budgie, black/green fritz), I Burnett, Fraserburgh, 8 fish, (black fritz), R Adamson, Oldmeldrum, 6 fish, (white fritz), A Scott, Aberdeen, 6 fish, (black/green fritz), G Morrison, Inverurie, 4 fish, (various lures).

Delgatie Castle Trout Fishery is open seven days from 8am til 9pm with opening hours being extended as light conditions and anglers dictate.

Visitors are always welcome and booking is not necessary. Boats (where required) rods and tackle is available for hire at the fishery. Fur up to date information phone Bob on 07980 999 006. :z15
