Title: Rothiemurcus annual trip
Post by: Euan Innes on 22/04/2016 at 19:02
So here I am in the Boat of Garten again, drunk, and fixing another PC. My friends know how to use  and pay for my talents!  :z4

Had another 3 hours on Rothiemurcus lochs today and they were fantastic. Lures were not required today and the bashers went home empty basketed. A #14 Partridge and Orange was what was needed along with a Partridge and Peacock Ice Dub or a Mallard and Claret. The troot were taking 3" down and were "finicky". Once we locked on the job was, not easy, but good, hard fun. These troot go like feck, and go airborne at the slightest.

If you are down that way and not a snob, please try it.

Euan,

a few years ago we went there during Stevens stag weekend. We had a blast on a mixture of small nymphs and small hoppers.

Not the same as Durness or Uist but it was a lot of fun and you can do a lot worse than spend an afternoon out there if you are in the area.

And it was free for me! My mate works there so I get on mates rates.  :z13
Craig in reception had probably never heard of anyone catching on a P and O before! Hee hee...
