Title: Delgatie Castle Trout Fishery report w/e 27/2/16
Post by: The Aul Troot on 28/02/2016 at 16:05
The fishery is still encountering a period of mixed weather conditions with the cold overnight temperatures causing icing to the water margins which thankfully melt away as the sun rises. The forecast suggests that milder conditions should be experienced from Tuesday onward and hopefully this will encourage more active feeding from the fish stock. The bright sunshine experienced during the daylight hours are not conducive to good fishing but despite all these adverse features some good catches were still recorded. Amongst these the best were;
A Murray, Gardenstown, 17 fish, (olive fritz, green fritz), N Thomson, Turriff, 10 fish, (orange buzzers), J Mackay, Macduff, 6 fish, (orange blob), K Fraser, Greeness, 6 fish, (green/orange lure), B Wiseman, Fraserburgh, 5 fish, (orange fritz),  D Low, Aberdeen, 5 fish, (blob/nymphs).
Delgatie Castle Trout Fishery is open seven days from 8am til 5pm and booking is not neessary. Visitors and novices are always welcome and boats (where required) rods and tackle is available for hire at the fishery. For up to date information and water conditions phone Bob on 07980 999 006. :z15
