My Mrs and I stayed at the Cullen Bay Hotel this weekend.

As you can see the view from the hotel is stunning, you can eat breakfast / dinner or have a drink with spectacular views of Cullen Bay. The service is first class, food is great, as it was built in 1677 the rooms are not huge but they are modern and have all the facilities you need. The hotel is halfway between the Spey and Deveron so handy for a fishing break , the Burn of Cullen which is a 10 minute walk from the hotel has a decent run of sea-trout. we have stayed here a couple of times and recommend it.

On the drive up we stopped at Whitehills, just North of Banff and had lunch at the Galley, if you like fish this is the place for you, I don't recall enjoying a Smoked Haddock Mornay   as much as this one, its right on the harbour, so the fish could not be fresher.

Went to a wedding there many moons ago. Spent the afternoon looking out to sea wondering if there were any Bass moving across the rocks :)

Always fancied that shore line as a SWFF mark.
