Title: Delgatie Castle Trout Fishery report w/e 26/12/15
Post by: The Aul Troot on 27/12/2015 at 13:20
Now that the Christmas holiday period is past we can look forward to the New Year's break and hopefully more settled and seasonable weather. Today (Sunday) sees the water coloured after overnight rains. The past week has seen lower numbers of anglers but the fishing has remained reasonable. The best catches for the week were; A Murray, Gardenstown, 20 fish, (budgie, white fritz), A Gibson, Gardenstown, 14 fish, (yellow dancer, WSW), S Rankin, Peterhead, 8 fish, (green buzzers), M Stewart, Methlick, 5 fish, (various nymphs), K Fraser, Greeness, 4 fish, (black okay dokey), N Thomson, Turriff, 4 fish, (buzzers).
The fish are still feeding in the upper reaches of the water and this will likely continue while the temperature remains high.
Delgatie Castle Trout Fishery is open seven days from 8am til dusk and visitors and novices are always welcome. Booking is not necessary and boats (where required) rods and tackle is available for hire at the fishery. We will remain open during the holiday break apart from New Year's Day.
