Had been asked to try out the Marryatt 9 1/2 ' #6/7 so what better way than to take it for a cast in anger to a local fishery.
Rod performed well through a number of different casts and varied lines, even chucked a few big heavy flies on it.
It also coped well with a few lively stocked fish enabling me to play them very hard for quick release.

All in all a cracking and productive afternoon out, might have to force myself to do it all again with all this mild weather.

Good to see that somebody is getting out for a winter cast or two :z16
