Title: Delgatie Castle Trout Fishery report w/e 28/11/15
Post by: The Aul Troot on 29/11/2015 at 14:33
This past week has seen the weather more settled and temperatures approaching seasonal norms with only occasional wet spells and generally light winds. The drop in temperature has certainly driven the fish deeper with with intermediate lures or sink tips proving most productive together with nymphs and lures fished on a slower retrieve to maintain depth. The best recorded catches this week fell to; J Adie, Inverurie, 16 fish, (millennium bug, bloodworm), J Mackay, Macduff, 13 fish, (orange wire), J West, Fraserburgh, 11 fish, (black fritz), J Dewar, Fraserburgh, 8 fish, (orange blob), P Cowie, Fraserburgh, 8 fish, (silver lure), M Stewart, Methlick, 7 fish, (snug bug, cormorant), M Fyfe, Aberdeen, 5 fish, (blob, buzzer), D Bowman, Aberdeen, 5 fish, (hares ear nymph), M Rawding, Fraserburgh, 5 fish, (bunny leech).
Next week's weather forecast seems rather mixed with temperatures slightly higher but interspersed with periods of wind and rain.
