Title: Delgatie Castle Trout Fishery report w/e 14/11/15
Post by: The Aul Troot on 15/11/2015 at 14:50
Although the weather has been more seasonable this past week, several days have still enjoyed better than expected temperatures with the result that anglers have had to be prepared to follow the fish up and down the water column as temperatures vary. This variation has been borne out by the fact that although lures have been productive at certain periods, buzzers have also yielded good returns. Although angler numbers have dropped due to weather conditions, some good returns were still achieved the best of which were; A Murray, Gardenstown, 21 fish, (olive fritz), S Wood, Macduff, 15 fish, (olive WSW), P Cowie, Fraserburgh, 12 fish, (buzzers, blobs), I Watt, Turriff, 11 fish, (black, green buzzer), J Reid, Forfar, 9 fish, (various lures).
Delgatie Castle Trout Fishery is open seven days from 8am til dusk and these hours will be maintained throughout the winter apart from Christmas Day and New Year's Day when the fishery will be closed.
Visitors and novices are always welcome and booking is not necessary. Boats (where required) rods and tackle is available for hire at the fishery. For up to date information and enquiries phone Bob on 07980 999 006. :z15
