Title: Delgatie Castle Trout Fishery report w/e 31/10/15
Post by: The Aul Troot on 01/11/2015 at 14:29
Whilst the weather this week has remained unseasonably warm it has done little to encourage fish activity which on a daily basis has seen periods of good catches follwoed by fallow periods where presentations of any kind failed to produce results. Whilst the forecast for the coming week remains relatively benign it is maybe time to batten down the hatches and prepare for the oncoming inter period.
As is usual, Delgatie Castle Trout Fishery is open throughout the year on a seven day basis apart from Christmas Day and New Years Day and only icing or adverse travel conditions would prevent fishing. The best recorded catches this week fell to; M Stewart, Methlick, 20 fish (montana), A Cowie, Fraserburgh, 7 fish, (various blobs), N Paterson, Turriff, 6 fish, (olive WSW), K Fraser (Mrs), Greeness, 5 fish, (nymph), I Burnett, Fraserburgh, 5 fish, (orange blob).
Delgatie Castle Trout Fishery is open seven days from 8am til dusk and booking is not necessary. Boats (where required) rods and tackle is available for hire at the fishery. Visitors and novices are always welcome. For up to date information and enquiries phone Bob on 07980 999 006. :z15
