Title: Delgatie Castle Trout Fishery report w/e 10/10/15
Post by: The Aul Troot on 12/10/2015 at 11:11
The weather this past week has again been mixed and on Tuesday/Wednesday the fishing was interrupted by incessant rainfall. The other noticeable feature this past seven days has been the drop in night time temperatures with a noticeable drop in the water temperature. Although hatches have been slowing down it is still obvious by the amount of surface activity that there is still insect life available for feeding although again the predominance of lures suggest the fish are feeding deeper in the water column. The best recorded catches this week fell to; A Murray, Gardenstown, 20 fish, (white fritz), C Field, Fraserburgh, 13 fish, (black WSW), M Stewart, Methlick, 10 fish, (montana nymph), S MacLean, Fraserburgh, 6 fish, (olive WSW), D Bond, Fraserburgh, 6 fish, (white fritz), B Furey, Peterhead, 5 fish, (black buzzers).
Delgatie Castle Trout Fishery is open seven days from 8am til 6pm and visitors and novices are welcome. Booking is not necessary. Boats (where required) rods and tackle is available for hire at the fishery. For up to date information and enquiries phone Bob on 07980 999 006. :z15
