Title: Delgatie Castle Trout Fishery report w/e 19/12/14
Post by: The Aul Troot on 21/12/2014 at 15:30
The past week saw a continuance of the less than favourable fishing conditions although an improvement on the previous weeks' gales. Today (Sunday) is the best day this week with temperature at 10 degrees and only a slight breeze providing an enticing ripple on the water. Coincidentally the fishing is good this morning with most anglers enjoying good activity and steady landings.
The weather forecast suggest the few days up to Christmas should remain good with lower temperatures immediately past Christmas. The best recorded catches during the past week fell to; C Stephen, Fraserburgh, 9 fish, (blob), A Murray, Gardenstown, 6 fish, (black cat's whisker), A Thomson, Buckie, 7 fish, (yellow dancer), B Whyte, Fraserburgh, 5 fish, (blob).
Delgatie Castle Trout Fishery is a Troutmaster water and apart from Christmas Day and New Year's Day will remain open during the festive period. The fishery is open seven days from 8am til dusk and visitors and novices are always welcome. Boats (where required) rods and tackle is available for hire at the fishery.
The managment and staff extend their best wishes for the festive season and thank all anglers for their continued support during the past year.
