So ..... the new location for this year is in Fintry, a few miles up the road from Carron Valley Reservoir and beside the Endrick?

Pop in past Culcreuch Castle and you will drive past the most famous and iconic carp water in Scotland...shame the hotel decided to not renew the SCG lease on it :(

Even the late and great Richard Walker fished it in the 60's. One of the last places in the UK to have truely natural "Wild carp".

Can you still fish it?  You should come down to the meet, should be good providing the weather holds (usually doesn't for that weekend).

Cheers

Nope, no fishing, its now a "wedding venue" :(

As for going, thats a training weekend for me so no can do.

Rest assured, while you lot have fun, I will be making sure you sleep safely in your beds at night! ;)

Think you've told me about that place before then.

Bit concerned by your last comment Rob?  :shock

Probably best Marc, not sure that there's any other seniors coming for you to compete against and victory by default doesn't feel that great  :z7

Here's hoping the day goes well.

Great weekend :z16

B&B was excellent, plus full marks to the Fintry Inn for food and drink. Great to catch up with everybody and the casting was loads of fun! Didn't take any photos, but others did and they'll hopefully post some

Cheers

The heavy air on the day kept distances down a bit, but here are some of the results in feet and inches
