Title: Delgatie Castle Trout Fishery report w/e 3/5/14
Post by: The Aul Troot on 04/05/2014 at 14:21
The past week has been on of two halves where at the beginning of the week fish activity continued on the surface and catches were good and being recorded to dries and buzzers whilst the second half of the week saw overnight temperatures drop dramatically and the water temperature dip which resulted in less surface activity and lures again predominating.
Today, Sunday, after a milder Saturday and higher overnight temperatures again heralds the surface movement.
The best catches this week fell to; A Murray, Gardenstown, 24 fish, (cat's whisker/WSW), D Stewart, Aberdeen, 19 fish, (dries/buzzers), S Donovan, Cruden Bay, 15 fish, (Dar hair), C Watt, St Fergus, 9 fish, (buzzers), J Clayton, King Edward, 8 fish, (buzzers/nymphs), A Gibson, Gardenstown, 8 fish, (buzzers), N Thomson, Turriff, 7 fish,(dries/buzzers), S Paterson, Aberdeen, 7 fish, (diawl bach).
The forecast for the coming week seems more settled with higher temperatures but not accompanied by as much bright sunshine.
