Title: Quill Body Sub
Post by: Allan Liddle on 31/03/2014 at 01:04
Ok nothing like a quill body really but looks ok and certainly more robust.  Hope the troots like 'em.
Ok on size 12's but looks a lot better 14, 16, 18 & 20.

Couple of DHE's with yello uni 6/0 base and dark brown uni 6/0 rib and light olive 8/0 uni base and dark brown uni 6/0 rib.  Both finished with light uv varnish.

Gonne do some spiders as well (made up a couple greenwell style with the yellow/brown body and it looked the dugs nuts) Will try 'em out soon, watch this space for results.

Yellow and Brown DHE, Light Olive abd Brown DHE.

What about using kevlar or carbon thread rather than adding UV varnish? Will give you a robust but lighter fly.

Very nice by the way.
