No Rob, it's one of the Epic 580 fly rods that Sandy built :z4 but no reason why anybody shouldn't post a photo of a spinning rod in the photos thread :wink

:X2 I realised that....not often you see a photo od Sandys butt though ;)
I currently have certain someones Worming rod on the drying rack....its a rebuild but I could fire up some photos.
Would also have a Czech Nymph (still waiting on a reel seat), a 9 weight and 2 carp rods within the month..and a beachcaster rebuild if I managed to get the sevral miles of thread of the thing!

This is the third fly I tied. Why is this one? It caught my eyes. I've never fished this one before, but probably will give it a go this weekend. I think it will work better in a tea color water, am I right? Cheers. Will do some DHE later for coming season.

In amongst the peaks and glaciers, photos are not zoomed in, you felt that you could reach out and touch them ........ :cool:

No no nooooooo. 20+ hours on a plane and no fishing....you will be making left handed fly boxes next ;)

I was brought up in NZ, so believe me, I know how well it fishes Rob :wink This trip was about catching up with friends and family! :cool:
I think I did quite well, pretty much 30 hrs on a plane without a Marlboro and almost a month in NZ without any fishing :z4
