Glen of Rothes trout fishery

The fishery will be closed to all angling other than for those who put their names down for the festive fun Competition on Sunday 22nd Dec which will start at 9am and finish at 3pm for presentations of prizes. We will then be closed    for the rest of the week and open on Friday  27th Dec, Sat 28th and Sun Dec 29th and then closed from then until Jan 3rd, when it will be business as usual.

It is important at this time of year that you keep up to date with information on our website and facebook  with fishery openings due to weather conditions, rather than just travel to find it closed.

Despite conditions of late, fishing has continued to be good and plenty to be caught.Buzzers are certainly the method at this time of year. Gordon Grant had 26,Tom Anderson had 13,Barry Ward had 11 with his best at 8lb 12ozs,Rob Harding had 7,Chris Johnston had 7 with his best at 7lb 2ozs and Kev Middlemiss had 9.Other anglers averaged between 4 and 6 fish per session.

We would like to wish all anglers and your families a Merry Christmas and a Happy New year.
