Title: Delgatie Castle Trout Fishery report w/e 23/11/13
Post by: The Aul Troot on 24/11/2013 at 13:48
The past week has seen us enjoy what could be described as ideal November conditions with only moderate rain showers and light breezes with the only adverse factor being the low temperatures and the resulting cold fingers.
Surprisingly the fish are still at surface or sub surface level and are showing well and although most catches were recorded to lures, the take was at quite high levels and on a quick retrieve.
The best recorded catches this week fell to; M Pirie, Cairnbulg, 16 fish, (pink blob), A Murray, Gardenstown, 10 fish, (cat's whisker), S McLean, Fraserburgh, 10 fish, (nomad), L Davidson, Macduff, 9 fish, (yellow dancer), N Thomson, Turriff, 7 fish, (buzzers/nomad).
Delgatie Castle Trout Fishery is a Troutmaster water and is open seven days from 8:00am til 4:00pm (when light permits) and visitors and novices are always welcome. Booking is not necessary and boats (where required) rods and tackle is available for hire at the fishery.
Subject to icing conditions the fishery will be open daily during December and January apart from Christmas Day and New Year;s Day. For up to date information phone Bob on 07980 999 006. :z15
