Post by: Iain Cameron on 19/09/2013 at 16:05
All,  just in case you're interested,  the European Fly Fishing Championship SLOVAKIA 2013 has started, with today being the first day of competition.

A couple of familiar names there, including Aberdeen's Kenny Riddell as part of the Scotland team.

To keep up with the event, which has six fishing sessions over 3 days (thu, fri & sat), see www.effc2013.eu/index.php/en/

cheers
iain

Results from yesterday....

Session 1, England 8th, Scotland 14th and Ireland 15th out of 16 teams.

Session 2, England 6th, Scotland 9th, Ireland 12th.

Overall placings after day one, England 6th, Soctland 12th and Ireland 13th.

Session 1 Individuals, Kenny was 70th
Session 2 he came 75th with 4 fish, but the chap who came 76th had 20!! Must have been minnows!

Fingers crossed his luck changes for day two.  :z16

cool, I didn't know that. I'd heard from Kenny that he'd had good numbers in practice, even a houchen (spelling?) up to 6lb, but the river he was on yesterday was up a foot 'cos of rain.
