Great to read this post on Facebook today by Mark Hamnett at Partridge :z16

I am delighted to inform the membership of The Partridge Hook Forum that we have acquired the assets of Sprite Sporting Hooks, Redditch to continue the hallowed tradition of hook making in England.

In recent months we have returned the production of Waddington Shanks back to England from the Far East and has started to renovate the product to stave off pretenders from all quarters.

Bringing Sprite into the fold enables us to continue the manufacture Partridge patterns that have long since been un-economic in an industrialized company, but it also makes us guardians of the traditions that have sadly faded in Redditch over the years! Further, we will be able to continue and introduce other classics using traditional methods.

Very good news, I hope it works out well for Fishing Matters.  Hopefully this will do something to address the patchy availability of Partridge products that has been something of a headache in recent years.

Cheers

Ben

Delighted some one has picked up the mantle ,consistently good hooks are the sprites .
Mind you I have been laying a good few down as the owner Vince had no obvious successor.
