Post by: ANDREW BEBBINGTON on 11/06/2007 at 23:31
The coarse fishery will be closed allday on thursday while we have the jcb in to do a bit of work putting in a better path and leveling the pegs out.
Hopefully it will only take one day and should be reopened on friday, will post a message on thursday if the closure is going to be any longer

Are you going to be adding some depth to the water too?

Cheers

Hi rob,
sorry not addind any depth at the moment the owners are not keen but we are working on it! we are trying to get some of the silt out to help.
the problem is that a few years befor they bought the place the previous owners tried to dig it out and it apears that it is clay linned and there was a great worry that the loch would drain :z8 ,
we are planning to put a new net in a bit further around were its a bit deeper, dont think we will get around as far as the curling pool which is the deepest bit this year but the people who fish it are getting plenty of perch and brownies  .
