Post by: Kevin Moss on 22/07/2013 at 08:15

Millbuies trout fishery.

Here as expected in the tempertures, fishing again was slow but with shade from surrounding trees there was fish to be caught but in no great numbers due to the extreme heat and anglers know that hot hot weather and fishing dont mix well especially after such a long period of it, as we have had.To say its fishing great with big numbers of fish being caaught would be just fantasy as it doesnt happen.Tom Carroll had a good day with 9 fish  with his best 5lbs in decent conditions,Geoff Witt 3 his best 3lb,Steven McConnachie had 3 trips with 7,3 and 3 ,barry main had 5,Blake Bolt 1,Ian Sutherland 4,James Rennie 3,Ian Simpson 1,Craig Howard had a 4lb fish,Paul Bridgeford had 2 and Robert Stewart had 1.Best flies have been black and green Nomads,Kate Mclarens and nymphs which have produced.
