Millbuies Trout fishery
Steady fishing here this week with all anglers catching and no blanks recorded with plenty of fish around both lochs and those who moved around both lochs certainly had the better fishing.Again it was small flies which got fish responding and Duncan Wright who had 8 fish landed a good fish of 6lb 12ozs,Jock Ewing had 5,Jim Breen 5,Bill Christie 4 and a blue,Charlie Bell 2 and a blue,Peter Donnelly had 4 with 2 blues, Ross Donnelly had 2 with 2 blues,Walter Senior had 1,Bill Bain had 2,Peter Wilson 2,Doug Hewitt 2,Bill Castles 1 and Charles Phillips 1.John Shearson had a great day with 20 fish and among those 4 blues.Tom Betts had 2,and Stuart Girvan,George McGill and Mary Stubbs all returned fish.Names for the last heat of the boat compy on July 7th are filling up and anyone interested in fishing the last heat can contact the fishery where the the last 4 winners will join the 8 anglers who have qualified for the final in August.From the final in August we will be allowing 1 blue in anglers bags to be taken as they are growing on well now and there are a few biggies around.
