Hi Alan,
There are a few local people on this forum who swear by the line - Allan L springs to mind, so they must be doing something right. I used to religiously use the Mallard for dry fly on both running & still water but since I've married the Olive SLX on the 4wt Helicoil I can't see past it.
I do have a 4wt GT90 and it's more than fine but I prefer the adaptability of the SLX at the moment.
Is it the best profile for what you do? I don't know. Is it a good line? Aye
Check out the reviews on the Barrio lines page of this website, might help.
Not seeing any reports from you?!

So is this a good line for trout fishing

Alan,
Catman (Alex) is your man to talk to about the intermediate. I know he uses one and I am pretty certain he loves it.

In fact just read his review on the line. You can find this in the barrio fly line shop :z16

Sorry Alan, I missed this :oops
The GT90i is a slow intermediate and most useful locally on lochs and small stillwaters for fishing your flies just below the surface.

Thanks alan

Hi Alan,
Yes, it will be ideal for fishing just under the top at the fisheries. The WF7I is in stock, see http://www.flylineshop.com/barrio-gt90i.html (http://www.flylineshop.com/barrio-gt90i.html)
Best wishes
