Seconded. There are some damn decent casters around on this forum who could do well at the event and the BFCC gathering is usually good craic. It's not that far away for most of us (even me) so come to this years event in Glasgow :z16

We need pics!
I don't think so!
Just get in a car and come down for the day.
Everyone must at some point have a go at casting the double hander, I'd like to say it is a laugh but I would be lying.
I'm thinking of making something like a shark diving cage for my shot at this insane event.
I like single handed distance now (never thought I would ever say that) but that double hander is just off the scale.
Noel you have to come down for the day even just to have a good laugh at me and the double hander.

Cracking day in Glasgow yesterday, great to meet up with a few friends that I haven't seen for a while and the turnout was good. The wind was a bit of a pain at times, but there was some excellent casting to see.
I didn't take any photos this time I'm afraid, between casting and marking lanes the day kind of flew past and before I knew it we were packing up and I hadn't got the camera out. I had a go with the big rods in the afternoon, I haven't cast the T gear before and it was good fun ....... I've since checked my ears, fingers etc and I think I managed to do it without losing any bits :z4
Didn't get a note of the distances this time, so we'll have to wait for Tracy to put them up on the BFCC website, but Kevin put in some great casts and Ben was very much on form and actually won something!

Truly P****D off that I had to pull out :mad though I doubt if it would have made much of a difference to the awards :z12. Well done to Ben & Kev and congratulations to you Mike on having the bottle to cast the 'T' tackle :z14 not for the faint hearted :z4

Messed up my #7 Peter, was doing 110 to 115 in a couple of practice casts in the lane, then the timing started and I got a tangle, followed by missing fluff and ..... it just didn't go well at all :z4
My card says:
#5 - 96' 1"
#7 - 91' 11"
ST27 - 118'1"
T34/38 - 121' 8"
T50/120 - 132' 4"
T55 - 125' 10"
All good fun :z16

Really good day out, good to catch up with a few folk. Scott was on fire, as was James (usually the case) but good performances from all.
Mr Barrio managed not to come last overall, better luck next time mate :z4

Not a true reflection really, the wind was so changeable that things were very difficult at times.

Well done all, looks like it was a tough day with the wind.
