Title: Delgatie Castle Trout Fishery report w/e 20/4/13
Post by: The Aul Troot on 21/04/2013 at 13:02
The past week has been plagued with high winds which led to very difficult fishing conditions and when interspersed with heavy showers was not conducive to comfortable fishing. However, despite these conditions it was noticeable how close to the surface the fish were moving and Buzzers were very much the order of the day.
Saturday 20/4/13 saw the "fish off" for the Troutmaster competition with David Stewart from Aberdeen emerging as the senior champion and Ben Mellin from New Pitsligo gained the junior title.
The best recorded catches this week were credited to;
C Fraser, Turriff, 18 fish, (Diawl Bach/Buzzers), D Wood, Aberdeen, 16 fish, (WSW/Blob), A Murray, Gardenstown, 14 fish, (Various Lures), J West, Fraserburgh, 12 fish, (Olive Damsel), D Stewart, Aberdeen, 11 fish, (Buzzers), I Burnett, Fraserburgh, 6 fish, (Buzzers/ White Fritz).
Delgatie Castle Trout Fishery is a Troutmaster water and is open seven days from 8:00am til 8:00pm. Visitors and novices are welcome and booking is not necessary.
