Title: Delgatie Castle Trout Fishery report w/e 9/3/13
Post by: The Aul Troot on 10/03/2013 at 10:06
This past week has been seven days of consistently cold and breezy conditions with the temperature reluctant to rise even at mid day and the cold wind making fishing difficult to perform and even more difficult to endure. The fish have also proven elusive with some anglers working deep and others enjoying success at higher levels. The best recorded catches this week were:
A Gibson, Gardenstown, 17 fish, (Blob/WSW), C Fraser, Turriff, 14 fish, (Blob/Buzzer/Nymph), J West, Fraserburgh, 9 fish, (Hothead Damsel), A Murray, Gardenstown, 6 fish, (Black Fritz), D Stewart, Aberdeen, 6 fish, (Buzzers).
Anglers A Smith, Ellon and K Fraser, Greeness landed a 10lb and 8lb specimen respectively.
The forecast for next week is not too encouraging with snow, low temperatures and wind prevailing for most of the coming seven days although it is suggested that conditions might improve towards the weekend.
Delgatie Castle Trout Fishery is a Troutmaster water ans is open seven days from 8:00am til 5:00pm. Opening times for evening fishing will be revisited as conditions and light improve.
Boats (where required), rods and tackle are available for hire at the fishery and booking is not necessary. For further information phone Bob on 07980 999 006. :z15
