Guys,
as some of you may be aware i broke my 15 footer recently with the sumo rod rack disaster. I have been fishing all this week on a lower Dee beat without even touching a kelt. I finally bit the bullet and parted with money in Bens shop this morning for a nice new shiny 15 footer and a new line which Ben kindly threw in as part of the deal. The beat was fully booked but the guys let me have a play with my new toy and eureka I hooked and landed 2 springers one at 8 npounds and another at 18 pounds. A greta start to the new season, Thanks for the rod Ben.

Cheers Jim, up until those 2 we had 4 rods fishing all week without even a pull from one of last year's models. I will be out trying again tomorrow.

i was not wearing the T shirt as Andy was not there. They were the first bof the season for Shane followed by another one yesterday. We had fished all week 4 rods without even a pull from a kelt until those ones arrived on the Friday. When you are back you need to cast the new 15 foot Mackenzie with the Mackenzie shooting head it is almost like cheating it is a flying machine.
