Hi All,
Mike has very kindly agreed to host Orvis Banchory and hold an Orvis / Barrio at Haddo on Sunday 14th April 2013.
We will have a good selection of rods and lines from Orvis Barrio and Mackenzie and, all the key pieces from the 2013 Orvis fishing catalogue. Waders, jackets, reels etc.
Bring your lines along to try on our rods or your rods to try with Barrio Orvis or MacKenzie lines.
Orvis endorsed guides Hamish Young, Kevin Muir and Peter McCallum will be there with me to offer short free 15 minute casting tuition / tune up sessions.
If there are any specific obscure bits of kit you'd like to see please drop me a PM and I'll do my best to make sure I have it with me
Hope the weather holds and hope to see you there!
Cheers

What do you have in a 10ft 6" 6 weight ?
:z18
Jim
-
Hi Jim,
May have a 10' #6 but that would be the closest. Orvis do not do a 10'6" rod, was hard enough to get them to produce a 10'er in anything other than a #7!
Cheers

Ben,,
Can you bring the helios switch and the Mackenzie switch with the Barrio switch lines as I am seriously interested in these as low water summer salmon and sea trout rods?
Eddie.

Jim,
Agreed. Mike and Ben,
Many thanks for a great day. Tried some great rods and lines. There are 2 rods that I really liked and i guess I will need to rack up some serious brownie points.
Also good to meet some of the guys from the forum.
Thanks again,
Eddie.

Big thanks to all for a crackin day out good craic and some seriously quality gear on offer.
Loved the new Helios (especially with the SLX :z16) and really keen on the sonic seam waders. Looks like the fishing stash is about to be hit with a withdrawl.
Cheers to Mike for manning the kettle and the use of Haddo.
Gppd to put a few names to faces as well.
Cheers guys

Thanks Mike for hosting and to Hamish/Kev/Ben/Peter for the toys and advice.
Always enjoyable to watch other people casting - motivates me to keep improving. That 16' mackenzie rod and 70 foot head was a beast though. Great afternoon, nice to chat and meet everybody
