Title: Switch line
Post by: terrier on 18/02/2013 at 22:24
Getting myself a switch rod (redington cpx 11' 3" 7#), a good few days salmon fishing planned this year. And, maybe a bit mad, plan to use it at times when pike fishing too.

Now line choice ???  ???
Switch line or skagit short line?  :z8
I think I'd mainly use rod as double handed (mini Spey) rod if that helps in advising me.

Thanks
Moray

Hi Moray,

Hang on a while, Barrio switch line will be here soon.  This was designed as a two handed casting line for light two handed (switch) rods.

Cheers

Ben

Thanks

Nothing wrong with that at all, starting to be the choice of some of the Baltic Pike anglers for the ease of putting out flies a long way into the surf, but as a DH overhead rod.
