Title: Beauly opening 16/2/13
Post by: Hamish Young on 17/02/2013 at 09:43
The Beauly Angling Club 'opening' for the 2013 season took place below Lovat Bridge at the top of the clubs fishing on the 16th and was very well attended indeed.
There were comfortably over 50 people in attendance, partly this may have been down to the weather which was fine and mild with only a slight edge in the wind. Whatever the reason it was very nice to see so many people making it this year.

Lovat Bridge, top of Beat 1 with around 1 foot on the gauge - a nice fishing height.

Gathering behind the piper for the march to the water.

Fine collection of rods, several folk went for a cast. Not sure if they got anything though as I had to be elsewhere.

Billy (in the middle) wishes he hadn't eaten those beans at breakfast. So does everyone else, to be honest ;)
