Title: Delgatie Castle Trout Fishery report w/e 9/2/13
Post by: The Aul Troot on 10/02/2013 at 14:11
After another week of inclement weather it is pleasing to report that Friday improved greatly and Saturday produced a day of ideal fishing conditions with a settled temperature and only an occasional light breeze. The improved conditions encouraged the anglers to reappear and also the fish to feed more aggressively resulting in good catches on Saturday.

The best recorded catches fell to:

A Murray, Gardenstown, 31 fish to 4lb, (Cat's Whisker), M Stewart, Methlick, 22 fish to 5lb, (Cat's Whisker), C Fraser, Turriff, 17 fish to 4lb, (Damsel Nymphs and lures), B Wiseman, Fraserburgh, 5 fish to 8lb, (Cat's Whisker), I Watt, Turriff, 5 fish to 3lb, (Buzzers).

The forecast for the coming week suggests better conditons and hopefully a continuation of good angling. The re-emergence of the bigger fish from the depths suggest an upturn in feeding habits.

Delgatie Castle Trout Fishery is a Troutmaster water and is open seven days from 8:00am til 5:00pm during February and extended hours will be notified as the year progresses.
