Title: Delgatie Castle Trout Fishery report w/e 2/2/13
Post by: The Aul Troot on 03/02/2013 at 15:05
The weather continues to play havoc with the sport both by discouraging the anglers then by discouraging the fish from feeding actively. With a mixture of wind, ice, coloured water and low temperatures the past week has not led to great catches with the best recorded being B Gray, Largue with 7 fish and J Abel, Fraserburgh with 5 fish. Both anglers included fish in the 3lb plus range.

The forecast for the coming week does not bode well with gales, low temperatures and a possible return to winter conditons.

Our first 2012 season stocking is due tomorrow (Monday) and hopefully, when conditions improve, the new residents will have 'tickled' the present inhabitants to feed more aggressively.

Our 2012 Troutmaster "fish off" is being held on 20th April at the fishery and all invited participants should indicate, by phone, their ability to attend if possible.
