Title: Delgatie Castle Trout Fishery report w/e 22/12/12
Post by: The Aul Troot on 23/12/2012 at 13:02
What is there left to dicuss this week apart from the horrendous weather? The fishery has struggled against wind and rain which at times has led to near flooding conditions and to coloured water. The week started with coloured water which cleared quite quickly and allowed brief periods of reasonable fishing conditions but subsequent rainfall which persisted on Friday and Saturday and which has resulted in coloured water again today (Sunday). However, the forecast suggests that conditions will improve during this week and hopefully we can enjoy good sport over the festive period.

We are closed on Christmas Day and New Years Day only and will continue to open at 8:00am til dusk.

Although we have had a difficult week the following anglers recorded catches:

A Gibson, Gardenstown, 21 fish, orange fritz including a 7lb, C Fraser, Turriff, 9 fish olive/orange fritz, G Thomson, Buckie, 6 fish, olive WSW including an 8lb,  R Ewen, Macduff, 6 fish, olive fritz.

D Duthie, Macduff also netted a nice 6lb specimen.

Delgatie Castle is a Troutmaster water and we are open 8:00 til dusk. Visitors are welcome. Booking is not required and boats, rods and tackle is available for hire.
