I have read such material before from WTT scientists - very encouraging work and their recommendations as an alternative to mass culling of bird species is encouraging, sensible and will be more effective. Scientifically, morally and politically this is a winner. I for one am happy to support WTT with this sort of predator 'control' policy. I will never join Angling Trust or any other such organisation that is calling for mass culling, sorry (what a pity too) !

My experience over the years would agree with that, the more I clear the loch .... the more fish I lose to predators through lack of cover :wink

Keeping the right balance on a small stillwater can be tricky, but it is certainly worth the effort :z16
